It was a major and abrupt turnaround from the original bail amount, which had been set at $75,000 after Bautista's capture earlier this week.
Hatfield Police said they were pursuing $1 million bail due to the severity of the assault, but they appeared pleased with the decision, thanking members of the public on their Facebook page who had expressed outrage at the original bail amount.
