According to the survey, Lansdale Borough is conducting a feasibility study on the benefits of implementing a Business Improvement District in the downtown.

The BID would offer "customized services and programs that best meet the needs of their local business community," according to the survey.
The purpose of the survey is to determine services provided by a BID.

The survey asks questions related to business assistance needs, and the compatibility of those needs to the revitalization of Lansdale.
The survey is confidential and results will be used to create an efficient BID services plan.
Businesses in a BID pay an additional tax or fee to fund aesthetic improvements within the boundaries.
Businesses can take advantage of incentives, like tax abatements, or grant programs to assist in required BID fees. These incentives can also bring in new businesses.
