Lansdale Gets $250,000 For Cannon Ave Improvements

The major state grant will help improve accessibility and walkability along the busy roadway.

LANSDALE, PA — Lansdale has received a massive state grant to help in the ongoing redevelopment and walkability efforts on Cannon Avenue.

The $250,000 in funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority will build new stormwater and sewer systems, as well as improve pedestrian access.

“This project means safer sidewalks for pedestrians and clearer roadways for drivers – both are big wins for our community,” State Rep. Steve Malagari said in announcing the funding. “Sen. (Maria) Collett and I are happy to help our local governments secure state funding for their infrastructure projects – not just because of the ways they improve daily life for our neighbors, but also because they help reduce the expense on local municipal budgets.”
