Lansdale Launches 'Pet Registry' To Help Reunite Lost Animals

The registry was launched in response to increasing numbers of lost pets, and difficulty tracking down their families.

LANSDALE, PA — Lansdale police have launched a new initiative to help families reunite with lost animals.

The new Lost Pet Registry was created in response to increasing numbers of lost pets and difficulties in reconnecting them with family members.

"Does your pet have a habit of sneaking out for a solo adventure?" police shared in their announcement." Maybe they like to take themselves on walks... Or go visit their “special friend” across town without telling you first? We get it — sometimes our furry family members just gotta roam. But when they do, we want to help bring them home safe and fast."

The registry simply allows families to input both their pet's information and their personal contact information so that if authorities get ahold of a missing pet, they can be swiftly returned.

This particular registry is only for residents of the borough of Lansdale.
