A Domestic Altercation Involving A Knife Ended With A Lansdale Man Facing Assault Charges
Sircar Brown, 28, of Lansdale, faces various misdemeanor counts after allegedly pulling out a knife during a domestic altercation.

LANSDALE, PA — A local man is behind bars after allegedly pulling a knife on a woman with whom he had been involved with romantically.
Upper Gwynedd Township police officers have filed various misdemeanor charges against 28-year-old Sircar Brown after a victim said Brown had become violent with her.
According to police reports, officers with Lansdale Borough were advised on Jan. 2 that a resident of Upper Gwynedd Township had been involved in a vehicle crash in Lansdale, which may have been the end result of a domestic situation in Upper Gwynedd.

The victim told Lansdale officers that she had fled from her home because Brown had been at the home holding her against her will.
An Upper Gwynedd officer subsequently contacted the victim who said that Brown had come to her home in the early morning hours and appeared to be intoxicated after drinking at a local bar.

Brown then tried to take the victim inside her home to argue with her, police said, but the victim declined given that recent domestic altercations had occurred, and she no longer wanted Brown inside her home.
At this point, the victim said Brown held a knife in his hand with the blade locked open, and that at one point Brown raised the knife toward her and put it directly in her face, according to police.
"Brown reportedly grabbed the victim's arm and told her she was not leaving and wanted her to get out of her car and go in the house," Upper Gwynedd police stated in a report of the incident. "Concerned for her safety, the victim was able to trick Brown by offering to let him get into the passenger side of her vehicle to continue talking. As Brown moved around the vehicle to the passenger side, she shut her door and drove away from the home."
Court records show that Brown has been charged with simple assault, possessing an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint and harassment.
Brown was arraigned on Jan. 2 before Magisterial District Court Judge John D. Kessler.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 20 before Magisterial District Court Judge Suzan Leonard.
