Montco Man Who Filmed Cheerleaders, Had Child Porn Sentenced To Prison
Eric Swenson, 53, of Lansdale, was given 5 to 10 years in state prison for possessing child porn. He had also filmed young cheerleaders.
LANSDALE, PA — A local man who was found guilty at trial late last year of child porn possession has been sentenced to between 5 and 10 years in state prison.
Eric Roland Swenson, 53, of Lansdale Borough, was handed the prison sentence on Tuesday by Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Henry S. Hilles, III, according to court records and media reports.
In December, Swenson was found guilty during a bench trial before Hilles on counts of child porn possession and criminal use of a communications facility.

The investigation into Swenson dated back to 2019, when local police were dispatched to a Catholic school for a report of an adult male making other people feel uncomfortable because he appeared to be filming young students on a cheerleading squad, even at times when his daughter was not participating in events.

Authorities subsequently found Swenson to be in possession of hundreds of images of child pornography on his cellphone, as well as thousands of child porn images on his computer and hard drive.
In addition to the state prison sentence, Swenson was also ordered to register as a sexual offender under Pennsylvania law.
Swenson must also serve out seven years of probation after his release from custody.
