Two Lansdale Police Officers Have Been Promoted To The Rank Of Sergeant
Lansdale Police Department has promoted two if its officers to the rank of sergeant. The officers are James McVeigh and Liam Pyskaty.
LANSDALE, PA — The Lansdale Police Department has elevated two of its officers to the rank of sergeant.
The officers, James McVeigh and Liam Pyskaty, were sworn into their new roles by Lansdale Mayor Garry Herbert during a ceremony on Thursday, according to the police department.
McVeigh, who came to the Lansdale Police Department in 2018 after working as an officer in Upper Perkiomen Township for a decade, is a firearms instructor and coordinator for the Montgomery County Drug Task Force.

He is also on the DUI Task Force and has served in the Lansdale Police Department's bike unit, according to the department.
Pyskaty joined the Lansdale Police Department back in 2001. The veteran officer is a member of the Montgomery County SWAT Team, Central Division, and the Montgomery County Drug Task Force.

Pyskaty is also a firearms instructor and has served in Lansdale as a field training officer.
Lansdale Police say the two men will be supervising patrol squads at the department in their new role.
