Lansdale's Italian Heritage Focus of Tuesday Night Historical Society Presentation
The Italian community holds a very special place in the history of Lansdale Borough.

Lansdale Historical Society Tuesday night will present "Lansdale's Italian Heritage," which looks at the Italian community's place in Lansdale's history.
The free event is 7:30 p.m. at the Lansdale Parks and Recreation Building.

In the early 20th Century, Lansdale Borough had its own "Little Italy," bordered by Cannon Avenue, Seventh Street, W. Third Street and as far out as Lansdale Avenue.
Tuesday night's event includes a video presentation that highlights the many contributions Italians have made to the development of the town. The presentation also looks at the unique section of Lansdale that many called home for decades.

Lansdale Historical Society Vice President Steve Moyer will narrate the video show, which features vintage photographs loaned to the society by family members and friends.
