Love Stories: Daniela Loves Shawn

Daniela Gaeta and Shawn McCaul's love story began in the third grade at St. Stanislaus Elementary School and blossomed at Pennbrook Middle School.

"It's funny — we went to the same elementary school in third grade, but we never knew each other. We met in ninth grade at Pennbrook Middle School when a friend of mine introduced us and we became friends," Daniela, of Lansdale, said. "A few months later, we started dating and we became closer."

The couple will celebrate their ninth anniversary in March.

"After a few years, I knew that I couldn't see myself with anyone else," she said.

Eventually, Shawn and his family moved to the Poconos after high school. Now, he was an hour away from Lansdale.

"We didn't let that interfere with our relationship," Daniela said. "We see each other whenever we can. We communicate non-stop."

For Valentine's Day, the two are heading over to Movie Tavern in Collegeville to see "Identity Thief."

Daniela said she and Shawn's personalities are pretty much teh same: they like the same music and they do a lot of fun activities together, like paintball and snowboarding.

"But we really love those days and nights when we're relaxed at home, watching movies together," she said. "We're currently planning to move in together soon."

"I cannot imagine my life without him," she said. "We're definitely best friends and I couldn't ask for anyone better."
