Manna On Main Street's Annual 10K, 5K Coming Up In Lansdale

The 13th annual Race to End Hunger will hit the streets of Lansdale next month.

LANSDALE, PA — Manna on Main Street's 13th annual 5K and 10K road race, the Race to End Hunger, is coming up.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 13 at 8:15 a.m. at Knapp Elementary School in Lansdale.

"Our community has been champions for Manna over the years, and our Race to End Hunger is a prime example of their ongoing support of our mission to end hunger," Patty Mark, Manna’s donor stewardship manager and race director, told Patch. "The Race to End Hunger not only celebrates our special relationship with the community but also raises funds to ensure we can continue to meet the critical food and related needs of our neighbors."

The professional chip timed 10K and 5K will start together at 8:15 a.m., with the one mile fun run immediately afterwards.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Nearly 400 people have already registered. Online registration is available here and will be available at the start line until 7 a.m. on race day.

Snacks and drinks will be provided by Backyard Beans, Wawa, Wegmans, Whole Foods, and other local partners. There will also be a vendor making balloons for children, and the North Pennsmen barbershop quartet will sing the National Anthem.

All profits from the event benefit Manna, the area's largest food bank.
