Merrymead's Lighting Of The Great Pumpkin Coming Up: What To Know

LANSDALE, PA — School is back, leaves are stubbornly changing color, and the fall season has nearly arrived to southeastern Pennsylvania.

In the greater Lansdale area, that means a slew of traditions, many of them taking place at the beloved Merrymead Farm.

The Lighting of the Great Pumpkin will take place this Saturday, Sept 23.

An annual tradition, the event features storytelling and a ceremonial lighting of Merry The Pumpkin.

Live children's music will begin at 6:15 p.m., with the lighting itself being held at 7 p.m.

There is also a cornstalk tunnel to explore, as well as a scenic hay ride around the farm.
