Meters, Kiosks May Reap Revenue from Downtown Lansdale Parking
Lansdale Borough and the parking authority are looking into two methods to increase revenues from downtown borough parking

Would you like a high-tech kiosk in the parking lot at Main Street and Susquehanna Avenue in Lansdale? How about one next to Chantilly Floral near the SEPTA station?
Dan Sokil of The Reporter reports that the Lansdale Parking Authority is looking into installing such kiosks at those two municipal lots.
Meters will also be coming back to Main Street and Madison Street, according to the article.

Both are methods for Lansdale to reap revenue from downtown parking.
Soon, the authority will recommend borough council approve implementation of recommended parking changes from consultants Nelson Nygaard Associates, according to Sokil.

The downtown borough parking prices will increase to $1 per hour. Secondary zones (those on the outskirts of the downtown) will be increased to 50 cents an hour. Everywhere else will be free, according to the article.
In order to make money, the borough believes spending $28,000 on two kiosks in those two lots would free up parking meters to fill on Madison and Main streets, according to the article.
There is also the chance of converting all borough parking lots to kiosks, at an estimated cost of $138,000.
