Jefferson Lansdale Hospital Has Received National Honors For LGBTQ+ Healthcare
Jefferson Lansdale Hospital has earned a top honor in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Healthcare Equality Index.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A Lansdale healthcare facility has earned a top recognition from a national organization dedicated to human rights.
Jefferson Lansdale Hospital announced this week that it has received national honors for LGBTQ+ care, being named a LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Top Performer in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Healthcare Equality Index.
The hospital was one of 251 across the country to receive the designation, which recognizes a healthcare facility's commitment to providing inclusive and equal access to healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community.

"We are honored to be named among the nation's best for LGBTQ+ healthcare," Katie Farrell, chief administrative officer of Jefferson Lansdale Hospital, said in a statement. "We strive every day to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of our community."
The hospital says it is one of a handful of Jefferson Health facilities in the region to be honored with 2022 HEI designations, the others being Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, MossRehab, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

"We are proud to have our hospitals recognized among the leading healthcare facilities for LGBTQ+ care," Lisette Martinez, chief diversity officer at Jefferson Health, said in a statement. "We recognize there are many healthcare disparities that exist within the LGBTQ+ community, and we remain committed to ensuring that our patients, employees, students and families receive high quality, safe and equitable care."
