SWAT Officers Reportedly Engaged In A Standoff With A Lansdale Man Thursday
News reports and court records show a Lansdale man is awaiting arraignment on criminal charges relating to an apparent standoff with cops.
LANSDALE, PA — A local man is in custody after engaging in a standoff with police SWAT team members on Thursday morning, according to media reports and court records.
The man, identified as Brian Bready, 38, of Lansdale Borough, appears to have been arrested and charged with felony criminal trespassing and misdemeanor defiant trespassing in connection with an incident on the 700 block of Shaw Avenue, according to a report on North Penn Now.
The report says that officials at the scene confirmed Bready's identity.

Records from magisterial district court confirm Bready was charged criminally by Lansdale police on Thursday, although he did not yet appear to have had an arraignment.
The North Penn Now report says that a cause of the hour-long standoff has not yet been released and that investigators were still processing the scene at the time of publication of the story.

The standoff may have had to do with a prior eviction from the residence.
Court records show that Bready was hit with similar criminal charges back on March 19 in Lansdale. A preliminary hearing in that case was originally supposed to occur on Wednesday but records show the hearing has been moved to May 4.
