LANSDALE, PA — A recently hired addition to the business team at the North Penn School District had worked for more than a decade in a similar role at another school district in western Montgomery County.

Ronald Linke, Jr. is the newly hired assistant director of business administration at the North Penn School District, his position officially effective this December, according to media reports and social media posts.

Linke most recently worked as the business administrator at the Pottsgrove School District, his place of employment for more than a decade, according to an article in the Sanatoga Post.

The report says that Linke officially resigned from his Pottsgrove School District post on Sept. 27 with his notice to the Board of School Directors, and that he would begin his North Penn position on Dec. 15.

On Sept. 20, the North Penn School District announced on social media that Linke would be joining the school community.

His hiring was announced along with that of Brandon Rhone, North Penn School District's new coordinator of emergency management and safe schools.

Rhone worked for 17 years as a police officer in the commonwealth and is said to bring a wealth of law enforcement and security knowledge to the role.

The Sanatoga Post report stated that personnel data from North Penn showed Linke would likely be making a salary somewhere in the neighborhood of a little more than $132,000, which was said to be more than $26,000 higher than the compensation he was offered at the Pottsgrove School District.

The Pottsgrove School District is much smaller than North Penn, comprising one high school, one middle school and three elementary schools.

By comparison, North Penn, which is headquartered in Lansdale, Pa., has 13 elementary schools, three middle schools, and one rather large high school that serves the surrounding North Penn community.
