North Penn Area Fire Companies Get $121,000 Boost From State
The grants will fund facility upgrades, new equipment, training courses, education, and more for the greater Lansdale area companies.
LANSDALE, PA — Numerous greater North Penn area fire departments and emergency medical services received more than $121,000 in grants from the state this week to support their work, local officials announced.
The grants will help fund a wide variety of facility upgrades, new equipment, training courses, education and public outreach, recruitment, and more.
"Our fire and EMS companies work tirelessly to keep our residents safe, which is why I work hard in Harrisburg to make sure that state grant dollars like this flow back into our communities where they can make a difference,” State Rep. Steve Malagari said in announcing the grants. “These grants represent a significant investment in the resources necessary to ensure the safety and security of our community.”
