Police Chase, Hours-Long Armed Standoff Ends In Montgomery Co.: DA
A man fled from police before firing multiple weapons at responding officers and SWAT teams, officials said.

MARLBOROUGH, PA — A man who fired shots at police during a lengthy chase and standoff incident in Montgomery County on Wednesday was taken into custody, authorities announced.
The incident began at 11:57 a.m. on the 1600 block of Swamp Creek Road in Marlborough.
It's not yet clear exactly what occurred, but a man, who police have not yet identified, was driving a black Mustang and began threatening a bicyclist, according to the DA's office.

At some point during the confrontation, the bicyclist fled and the suspect fired shots into the nearby woods, police said.
Police arrived at around 12:04 p.m. as 911 calls flooded in from around the area. They pulled up behind the Mustang but the man fled away at a high rate of speed, firing multiple rounds at the officer, who was driving a marked patrol car, officials said.

A seven minute chase ended at Ridge Road in West Rockhill in Bucks County, where the man barricaded himself and fired multiple weapons at police during the ensuing standoff, according to the DA.
Two SWAT teams responded to the scene to assist several police departments. The man surrendered at 2:24 p.m. He was taken into custody without further incident.
No injuries were reported.
Montgomery County Detectives are continuing to investigated.
The man was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
