Bomb Scare at North Penn High School Friday

The North Penn School Distirct confirmed a bomb threat written in graffiti in a bathroom at the high school in Towamencin

A graffiti bomb threat was found on the wall in a boy's bathroom Friday at North Penn High School.

Readers reported North Penn High School was put on an "all hazard alert" Friday afternoon for the bomb threat.

According to a community Facebook post, parents were informed via a phone call from the school district of a bomb threat in a boy's restroom at the school, written in graffiti.

A post on the district's website confirmed the incident. Towamencin Police responded to the scene, and the school was evacuated.

Police found no suspicious devices in the school.

Students were kept out of harm's way for about a half hour.

Towamencin Township Police and North Penn School District have been contacted for comment.

Students with any information on the threat are urged to call Towamencin Police at 215-368-7606.

The district also encouraged parents to"address the seriousness of false threats" with their children, and warned of arrest, expulsion and financial liability for students found guilty of such threats.
