Senior community’s apple pie contest names Best of Lansdale winner

Residents of Traditions of Lansdale and members of the public helped decide winning apple pie.

The smell of cinnamon and fresh apples permeated the air as proud bakers presented their homemade apple pies to eager taste testers at Traditions of Lansdale during its second annual apple pie contest.

Residents of the senior community and members of the public sampled pies from Merrymead Farms, Chef Calvin Taylor, and Amici Italian Market and Deli and later voted for their favorite slice.

Traditions resident Richard A. voted for Chef Taylor’s homemade Granny Smith and hazelnut apple pie. Chef Taylor is also Traditions’ dining services director and curator of the delicious meals served in the senior community.
