Student Brought Gun To North Penn High School: District
Security has been tightened after the incident Tuesday.

TOWAMENCIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A North Penn High School student brought a gun to school on Tuesday, the district told the school community in a letter sent home to parents.
Police were investigating the student, a 16-year-old boy, for a separate incident when they learned that he had the weapon, officials said.
The student was taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported.

The district said they are working with law enforcement on the investigation. The school has also increased security Wednesday, with weapon detections scanners added.
