Teens Allegedly Bring Pellet Guns to Pennfield, North Montco Schools

Hatfield Township Police and Towamencin Township Police worked together on the investigation, which began Wednesday, Jan. 16

Towamencin Township Police and Hatfield Township Police are filing weapons on school property offenses through Montgomery County Juvenile Court against two teens from Towamencin: a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, police said.

Both students allegedly possessed an Airsoft gun and BB gun at both North Montco Technical Career Center and Pennfield Middle School, police said.

On Thursday, Jan. 17, at 10:46 a.m., police responded to North Montco Technical Career Center, 1265 Sumneytown Pike, for a report that a student may be on the property in possession of a firearm, police said.

Upon arrival, police received a name of a student that may possibly be involved in the incident.

Towamencin Township Police learned Hatfield Township Police were investigating the possible possession of a pellet or Airsoft gun by a student at Pennfield Middle School, police said.

Police said two Pennfield Middle School students, who were also students at North Montco Techncal Career Center, had possessed an Airsoft gun and BB gun at both schools on Jan. 16.

Police confirmed that the weapons and student were present at North Montco on Jan. 17, police said.

Hatfield Township Police are handling the possession of one of the weapons by one of the students at Pennfield on Jan. 17, police said.
