Towamencin Police End Up Raising More Than $2K Through 'No Shave November' Beard Growing
Towamencin police participated in the 'No Shave November' beard-growing contest and ended raising more than $2K for charitable organization.

TOWAMENCIN, PA — The local police department has announced that it raised more than $2K through its participation in the 'No Shave November' beard-growing charitable fundraiser.
The department posted a message to its Facebook page on Tuesday saying that it ended up raising a total of $2,556, money that was turned over to Operation Nine Reindeer, Inc.
"Thank you for helping us support Santa's Missions to help our families in need," the police department posted.

The department went on to joke that "now ... here comes the fun part. Beard judging!", before posting photos of the participating department members, showing the beard growth each sustained during the challenge.

Operation Nine Reindeer, Inc. helps deliver gifts to families of limited means who are in need during the holiday season.
