Walnut Street In North Wales Was Closed After A Truck Backing Into Wawa Hit Utility Lines
A portion of Walnut Street in North Wales Borough had to be temporarily closed Wednesday after a truck backing into Wawa hit utility lines.
NORTH WALES, PA — A tractor-trailer backing into a Wawa in the borough Wednesday night caused a brief traffic disruption after it struck utility lines and caused a temporary road closure.
Crews with the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the Wawa, located at 710 East Walnut Street, after a report of a truck that had hit wires and the building.
The fire company reported the news on its Facebook page, saying that nobody was injured in the incident, which caused a brief closure of Walnut Street while crews worked to fix the power lines.

The truck had apparently been attempting to back into a small alleyway behind the Wawa convenience store.
