Upper Gwynedd Firefighters Complete Refresher Course On Vehicle Rescues

Towing companies in Lansdale and Huntingdon Valley donated the wrecked cars on which the firefighters were able to practice their rescues.

UPPER GWYNEDD, PA — Local firefighters recently participated in a training drill involving vehicle rescues.

Members of the Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department completed the practical portion of a six-hour vehicle rescue refresher offered by the Bucks County Public Safety Training Center, according to a social media post about the training.

The department said firefighters worked through "simple and complex tool techniques, vehicle stabilization, patient care, scene management, and community," according to the post on the fire department's Facebook page.

Fire officials said that the wrecked vehicles that the firefighters used in their training exercise were donated for the drill by Partner's Towing in Lansdale and Arnold's Towing in Huntingdon Valley.
