Walsh, McDonnell Named Chair, Vice Chair of Montgomery Township

During a reorganization meeting Monday night, Montgomery Township Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Joe Walsh as the new chairman of the board for 2013, and Jeff McDonnell as vice chairman, according to an article by Dan Sokil in The Reporter.

Walsh presented outgoing chairwoman Candyce Chimera with a plaque and thanked her for the “wonderful job in 2012.” He touted her “It’s Finally Done Fun Run” on the 202 Parkway as her biggest accomplishment, according to the article.

Walsh and McDonnell enter 2013 with a priority to lead the township toward the groundbreaking of a future community center, the article states.

Numerous township residents were sworn in as officials on various boards by District Judge Andrea Duffy, according to the article.
