Wife, Unborn Child Of Montco Firefighter Die In Crash
Kellie M. Adams, 31, died in a car accident late last week. Her unborn child also passed away. She was married to a local firefighter.

LANSDALE, PA — A local woman who was married to a Montgomery County firefighter tragically died late last week in a car accident, an incident that also took the life of the couple's unborn child.
Kellie M. Adams, 31, of Lansdale, died on Aug. 25 during a tragic vehicle accident in Lower Providence Township.

Adams was married to Jason T. Adams, a firefighter in neighboring Upper Providence Township.
The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 along the 500 block of South Park Avenue.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said that Lower Providence Police officers arrived on scene to fine a head-on collision involving Adams' 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2003 Ford F650 dump truck.
Adams was pronounced dead at the scene. She also lost her unborn child, Emersyn Grace Adams, who was stillborn at the time of the crash, the DA's Office stated.
"This is a tragic loss of life of a young mother, pregnant with her third child," District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a statement. "Our hearts and prayers go out to the family at this very difficult time."
An obituary for Adams said the woman was a devout Christian who was a lifelong member of Lansdale Presbyterian Church, and who participated in and led events for mothers and young families.
Adams also followed the "legacy of five generations [and] was a member of the Towamencin Fire Company Auxiliary."
She was also a registered member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
The Upper Providence Township Fire Department, where Adams' husband works, offered condolences following the tragedy.
"Please keep Firefighter Jason Adams and his family in your thoughts and prayers," the department posted to Facebook. "FF Adams tragically lost his wife and unborn daughter in a fatal car accident on Thursday."
Her obituary says that Adams was a "dedicated and beloved" middle and high school teacher at Cottage Seven Academy in Phoenixville, Chester County, which sits just over the county line from where her husband works in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County.
She was a 2009 graduate of North Penn High School in Lansdale and went on to obtain her bachelor's degree in elementary and special education at Geneva College and her master's degree in reading with an emphasis in elementary education from Grand Canyon University.
"She was incredibly passionate about teaching, loved by her students and coworkers, and she committed herself to enriching their lives," Adams' obituary reads. "She'll be remembered for her forgiving spirit, positive outlook, her love of the beach, her beautiful nails, Starbucks, Target and Taco Tuesday."
The obituary says that Adams was a "devoted military spouse," whose, "unfailing dedication left an indelible mark on her family, especially her sons."
Adams was a mother to two boys — Mason Daniel Adams, 5, and Jaxson Richard Adams, 2.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lansdale Presbyterian Church, 450 Oak Park Road, Hatfield, and a second visitation will be held between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the same church.
A funeral service will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley.
The Montgomery County DA's Office says that it is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, which would take several weeks.
The investigation is a joint operation between county detectives, Lower Providence Police and members of the Regional Crash Reconstruction Team.
