Despite missing four starters, several Lehighton wrestlers delivered strong performances, including a dramatic heavyweight win by Kailey Evans. The Indians now aim to rebound at Tamaqua’s Blue Raider Tournament on Friday.
   

• Shapiro Administration Kicks Off the Holiday Season at the 2025 Annual Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (beavercountyradio.com) — A Douglas fir grown at Crystal Spring Tree Farm in East Lehighton is the centerpiece of this year’s Pennsylvania Capitol Christmas tree display in Harrisburg. The 25-foot tree is decorated with thousands of LED lights and handmade ornaments from children and older adults statewide. Governor Josh Shapiro and other state leaders helped kick off the holiday season at the lighting ceremony.
