• Man injured in Franklin Twp. blaze (tnonline.com) — Lehighton firefighters and ambulance crews helped battle a suspicious house fire Tuesday evening on Church Street in nearby Franklin Township, where a resident suffered thermal burns but the home is considered repairable. Crews from Lehighton, Bowmanstown and Parryville knocked down the attic blaze in about 20 minutes and remained on scene for roughly two hours while a state police fire marshal investigates the cause.
