The elderly residents were flown to the burn center at Temple Health early Saturday morning, officials said.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Two elderly Bristol Township residents were flown to the burn center at Temple Health on Saturday after a fire at their home.

Firefighters were dispatched at 4:02 a.m. to a house fire on the 4900 block of Beaver Dam Road. There, they discovered fire pouring out of the front and left side of the house and the two victims inside.

According to township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito, the victims were treated by EMS and flown to the burn center in Philadelphia. He said they had been awakened by neighbors pounding on their doors and windows and that there were no smoke alarms sounding in the home.
