2 Charged In Delaware Canal Towpath Shooting

The 18-year-olds from Bristol stole the 51-year-old victim's cellphone after shooting him, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Two men have been arrested and charged with shooting a man in the back during a robbery on the Delaware Canal towpath in Bristol Township.

Pennsylvania State Police said Thursday that Raquan Johnson and Javontae Musarra — both 18 years old and both from Bristol — attacked a 51-year-old man from Philadelphia and shot him in the back during the March 29 incident.

The two teens stole the man's cellphone and ran away toward Lavana Falls Apartments, said state police spokesman Trooper Nathan Branofsky. The incident happened at about 12:15 a.m., according to police.

Johnson and Musarra are charged with attempted homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, theft, conspiracy, firearms violations and other offenses, Branofsky said. Both were arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $2 million.

They're being held at Bucks County Correctional Facility.
