Bristol School All Clear After Bomb Threat

Administrators discovered a threat at the school on Thursday afternoon.

BRISTOL TOWNSHIP, PA — Truman High School in Bristol has been declared all clear after a bomb threat was discovered Thursday afternoon.

"Following an exhaustive search within the building this evening, law enforcement has cleared the building for re-entry," Bristol Township School District officials said Thursday evening in a social media post.

Classes were being held as scheduled at Truman on Friday with an increased police presence.

Activities at the school were shut down Thursday afternoon after administrators "discovered a bomb threat" at the school, at 3001 Green Ln.

School officials were asking parents and students to come forward if they have any information about the bomb threat.

"The police will continue to investigate all information regarding the incident," administrators said in the post. "Should you or your child know anything about this incident, I encourage you to speak with me confidentially.

"We treat incidents such as this seriously. Legal action will be pursued against any student(s) that are responsible for threats to our school."
