Bucks Co. Knocks Out Hunger Campaign Underway: How You Can Help
The United Way of Bucks County has teamed up with ACME to fight food insecurity in Bucks County.
FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — United Way of Bucks County officially launched fundraising for its annual Bucks Knocks Out Hunger campaign, the county’s largest coordinated hunger-relief effort.
The community-wide initiative includes a fundraising campaign for local food pantries, a large-scale meal-packing event, and a food drive. Every year, the project brings together thousands of donors, advocates, and volunteers to fight hunger in Bucks County.
This year, United Way welcomes ACME Markets Foundation as the new presenting sponsor.

“We are honored to support United Way of Bucks County’s BKO event,” said Dana Ward, ACME's director of communications and public affairs. “This partnership reflects not only our commitment to the Bucks County community but also helps us get closer to our goal of eradicating hunger. We strongly believe in the power of community and are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact.”
Marissa Christie, United Way's president and CEO, expressed her appreciation for the new

“We’re thrilled to welcome ACME as our new Presenting Sponsor,” Christie said. “Their support strengthens our ability to reach more people and make a deeper impact. Nearly 1 in 10 children in Bucks County are food insecure — that’s a reality we must change. BKO Hunger is about coming together to make sure everyone in our community has access to healthy, nutritious food.”
Funds raised through BKO Hunger help provide essential items like fresh produce, dairy, and eggs to local food pantries, senior centers, and United Way’s free mobile farmers market, Fresh Connect.
Donations can be made online at www.uwbucks.org/bkohunger or by mailing a check to United Way of Bucks County, 413 Hood Blvd, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, with “BKO Hunger” in the memo line.
The campaign’s signature meal-packing event will take place on Friday at the Oxford Valley Mall.
Volunteers will pack more than 100,000 shelf-stable meals for mobile and brick-and-mortar food pantries countywide, including United Way’s HELP Center. Community members are encouraged to register and join the fight against hunger.
