BUCKS COUNTY, PA — As the shutdown geared toward curbing the new coronavirus continues, parents in Bucks County are looking for places to get their kids, and themselves, out of the house.

While residents are allowed to visit the open spaces at Bucks County's six state parks, those parks are officially closed for two weeks. That includes bathrooms and offices.

But, as of Wednesday, county parks in Bucks County remained open.

Bucks County officials announced changes to government operations on Tuesday, including measures to limit contact with employees at government buildings. But in the same announcement, they made clear that "parks and outdoor recreational facilities will remain open."

The county owns eight county parks, in addition to other recreation facilities, historic sites and nature centers.
