FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — Bucks County Technical High School's Automotive Program was recently gifted two new cars by Fred Beans Automotive Group and Ford Motor Company.

The car companies, who have collaborated with the school's Automotive Program in the past, donated two Ford Focuses to the school. The vehicles will be used to enhance the students’ hands-on learning experiences by exposing them to current vehicle systems and technology.

“Over the past few years, our school has been in desperate need to secure newer model vehicles in order for our students to learn and train on state-of-the-art equipment and vehicles,” said Leon Poeske, Ed.D., administrative director of Bucks County Technical High School. “This donation is a good first start in upgrading our training vehicles in order to help our students become top-notch technicians in the industry. We truly appreciate what Fred Beans and Ford have donated and we hope to continue this partnership.”

“The school’s reputation is strong, and the graduates are talented,” said Dawn Griffin, assistant parts director for Fred Beans and a Bucks County Technical High School graduate. “This donation of vehicles will further prepare students for their futures, and we hope many of them include working at Fred Beans in their future plans.”

Fred Beans Automotive Group plans on future collaborations with the tech school, including supplying students with professional diagnostic equipment to use in the classroom. The automotive group has a history of hiring students from the tech school. "We know how fast technology is changing in today’s automobiles, so naturally, training programs will need to keep up with innovations," Fred Beans said in a statement. "We are committed to helping BCTHS stay on pace with the industry."
