Child Luring Outside School Stopped By Students: Falls Twp PD

The student said the driver demanded she gets in his car after she ignored him. When fellow students intervened, he drove away.

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — The Pennsbury School District has acknowledged an attempted luring of a child just off the property of Pennsbury High School on the afternoon of Friday, March 18.

According to a statement from the Superintendent of Schools and the high school's principal, the incident occurred on Queen Anne Boulevard, between South Olds and Trenton Road, around 2:30 p.m.

The student said that a white male, driving a silver four-door sedan, approached her on the road and offered her a ride.

When she ignored him, the student said that the man demanded that she get in his car.

Several Pennsbury students, who were on the other side of the road when this happened, intervened in the situation. The man drove off when approached.

"We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the students who intervened and the student involved for telling the high school administration what happened," school officials said in a statement. "Please remind your children to call 911 and/or tell a trusted adult if anything similar happens to them."

The Falls Township Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
