Coastal Flooding Threat Issued For Lower Bucks County

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The National Weather Service said that parts of Lower Bucks County face the threat of flooding due to rainfall expected over the next few days.

Some coastal flooding is usually reported from the Delaware River in Bristol Borough.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook released by the National Weather Service of Mount Holly states that minor coastal flooding is possible on Thursday and Friday.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 9 a.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Patchy fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 85. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night

Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday

A chance of showers, then showers, and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. High near 71. North wind around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
