FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — The family of a woman whose trailer home was gutted in a Dec. 1 fire is seeking the public's help in getting their mother back on her feet.

The woman's daughter Ashleigh said her mother was able to get out safely, but she lost her phone, car keys, clothes, furniture, medications, glasses, and every personal belonging she had.

"The fire also caused damage to a couple of neighboring units, and, unfortunately, her insurance is only covering a small portion of the loss," her daughter said. "Right now she’s staying with family and trying to figure out next steps with literally nothing but the clothes she escaped in."

She said her mother is always among the first people to help anyone — driving friends to appointments, checking on neighbors, and bringing food when someone is sick.

"She’s kind, hardworking, and never asks for anything in return," her mother said. "Today, she could really use some of that kindness coming back to her."
