Driver Killed In Fiery Crash At Falls Club
The car was driven from a field at the Penn Warner Club across a gravel road and into a tree Thursday night, Falls Township Police said.
FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — A driver was killed Thursday night in a fiery crash on the property of a private boating and fishing club in Falls Township.
At 9:17 p.m., Falls Township Police were called to the Penn Warner Club, on Bordentown Road, for a report of an overturned vehicle with a person trapped inside.
There, they found a 2016 Toyota Corolla engulfed in flames.

An occupant of the vehicle who was killed in the crash was found inside, police said. They were not publicly identifying the driver Friday afternoon.
Investigators learned that the car had been driven on the Penn Warner Club property before the crash. Evidence showed that it was driven from a field and across a gravel roadway, striking a tree and landing on its driver's side.

A witness told police that he was down by the lake when he saw a fire he thought was a trash can or pile of debris on fire. He approached the car and broke its windshield in an effort to get the driver out, police say, but wasn't able to do so because of the fire.
