Drop-Off Food Drive Scheduled In Langhorne, Levittown
Demand at food pantries has skyrocketed during the business shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
LANGHORNE, PA — Business closures due to the coronavirus shutdown have caused demand at food pantries to skyrocket in places including Bucks County. Now, a two-day food drive has been scheduled in Langhorne and Levittown to help.
Mary's Cupboard is a food pantry in Levittown that serves Lower Bucks County through Catholic Social Services.
A drop-off food drive has been scheduled to replenish its food supply on Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3.

On May 2, volunteers will be accepting curbside drop-off of donations at Christopher Jones Memorial Park, at 499 Beechwood Ave., located off of Maple Avenue in Langhorne. The event will be from 10 a.m.-noon.
On May 3, a similar drop-off will be from 10 a.m.-noon at Mary's Cupboard's location at St. Michael's Church, at 100 Levittown Pkwy.

Organizers are asking that their be no social gathering at the locations and that people dropping off items for the drive wear protective gear.
Items that volunteers are specifically asking for include:
- canned vegetables
- canned chicken
- gravy
- pork and beans
- soup
- fruit
- pasta sauce
- macaroni and cheese
- peanut butter
- cereal
- box juices
- diapers (especially larger sizes)
- oatmeal
Checks and gift cards also will be accepted, they said.
