LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A former Pennsbury School District music instructor will not receive jail time for possessing thousands of images and videos of child pornography, authorities said.

Christopher Bygott, 47, of Hamilton, N.J., was sentenced on Monday to three years of probation after being charged in December 2023 with possession of child pornography and the criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.

A forensic examination of his cellphone led to the discovery of 2,000 images and videos of Child Sex Abuse Materials that depicted sexual acts with children of various ages.

Two CyberTips were submitted to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on Dec. 5, 2023.

Detectives said the CyberTips were linked to an IP address, which was used to upload the pornography materials into an Amazon Photos account, which was identified as belonging to Bygott.
