Falcons Fall Short In Playoffs As Pennsbury Ends 'Amazing' Season

FALLSINGTON, PA —The Pennsbury High School football team's season has come to a close, after a complete turnaround from losing every game for three straight years.

The Falcons fell to North Penn High School in a close one, 22-21, in Round 1 of the PIAA District 1 Football Playoffs Friday night, ending the team's comeback season.

"Tough loss for the Falcons tonight," the school district posted on its Facebook page. "It was an amazing season, though. Congratulations to Coach Snyder and the Falcons on all they’ve accomplished this year! We are so proud of you!!"

Pennsbury High School won the 2022 SOL National Championship this year.

The Falcons finished 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the SOL league.

The season marked a change in fortunes for a team that had lost 17-straight games going into the season, which marked a three-year losing streak.

The team played before its new press box at Falcon Field. The press box is part of a $4.2 million stadium renovation project.
