Fallen Police Officers Honored In Lower Bucks Co. Services
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office attended ceremonies in Bensale, Bristol, and Middletown townships on Monday.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Police officers who gave their lives to protect citizens were honored in several Lower Bucks County communities during ceremonies on Monday.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office paid tribute to fallen police officers at ceremonies in Bensalem, Bristol, and Middletown townships.
Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn, First Assistant District Attorney Ed Louka, Chief Detective Greg Beidler, and Lt. Tim Perkins, alongside other esteemed officials, stood in solidarity with these departments, offering poignant tributes to their fallen heroes.

"These observances serve as a powerful reminder of the daily risks undertaken by law enforcement to safeguard our communities," officials said.

Bristol Township: Detective Sergeant George Stuckey, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty during a traffic stop on March 29, 1972. His dedication and sacrifice remain an indelible part of the Bristol Township Police Department's history.
Bensalem Township: The valor of Officer James Kenneth Armstrong, who was fatally shot during a perilous felony traffic stop on April 15, 1975. We also solemnly remembered Officer Robert A. Yezzi, who was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle while diligently investigating a pedestrian stop on August 12, 1980. Their bravery and commitment continue to inspire the Bensalem Township community.
Middletown Township: The heroic service of Detective Chris Jones, whose life was tragically cut short when he was struck and killed by a drunk driver while conducting a traffic stop on January 29, 2009. His sacrifice underscores the ever-present dangers faced by officers on our roadways.
