Falls Township Manager Resigns ... Again
The announcement comes months after Peter Gray resigned, but was later convinced by supervisors to stay in the position.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA — Falls Township's manager is leaving the job after 12 years, just months after supervisors offered him a new deal to convince him to stay.
Falls Township Manager Peter Gray has resigned effective Feb. 4, according to the township. In September, he also announced plans to resign and seek new opportunities, but supervisors, along with a $5,000 a year raise, convinced him to change his mind.
Gray has served as township manager for 12 years. Before that, he worked for Falls for eight years as the township's finance director.

New Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeff Dence said Gray won't be easy to replace.
"The supervisors appreciate all that Pete has done for our township," Dence said. "We are sorry to see Pete go and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."

Assistant Township Manager Matt Takita, who started working for Falls in October, will be filling in for Gray following his departure. Supervisors are contracting with David Woglom, of the Robert B. and Helen S. Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government, to help find a new manager on a permanent basis.
Township attorney Mike Clarke said he expects candidates will be narrowed down and interviewed by early February, with an offer being extended by late February.
