Falls Township Police Department Mourns Loss Of Retired Officer
Yale Gottenberg passed away on Sunday, Oct. 24. He served the department for 21 years before retiring in 2015.
FAIRLESS HILLS, PA — The Falls Township Police Department announced the recent passing of a retired officer, who served the community for 21 years.
Officer Yale Gottenberg passed away at Doylestown Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 24. He was 69.
Beginning his career with the Township on January 9, 1984, Gottenberg also served the community as a firearms instructor, a field training officer, a DARE instructor, and an original member of the Falls township SWAT Team.

Gottenberg had received two Medal of Valor awards during his time as a Falls Township officer. He retired from the force in 2015.
"Yale will be greatly missed by his brother and sister officers, however his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched during his thirty years of policing as well as the impact he made on his fellow officers through his mentoring," the department said in a statement on their CrimeWatch website.

The family held a private service for Gottenberg.
He is survived by is family, including his wife Deborah, daughter Cindy, and his son, Lieutenant Glen Gottenberg of the Warrington Township Police Department, as well as his grandchildren Michael and Francesca.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorial contributions in Yale’s memory may be made to the Bucks County Heroes Scholarship fund at. 1760 S Easton Rd in Doylestown.
