Family Festival Weekend Coming To Bucks Co. Later This Month

BUCKS COUNTY - Mark your calendars, Bucks County: an entire weekend of fun and food for the entire family is coming later this month.

Falls Township’s combination Family Festival and fifth annual Touch a Truck event is set to take place Sept. 16 and 17 this year, with a brand-new Food Truck Festival to join in on the festivities.

The Food Truck Festival will feature multiple establishments with eats ranging from pizza in a cone to funnel cake to festival foods from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday., according to a news release from the township. Musical entertainment will be provided by the SEVEN Band.

Also on Friday, Bucks County’s 21-and-over residents can enjoy a roped-off beer garden featuring beer, wine, and seltzer for purchase by the can, with proceeds going to the Fairless Hills Fire Department.

Dozens of large trucks, excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles and various types of heavy machinery will be at the festival grounds from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (with a sensory-friendly quiet hour from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.) on Saturday.

Face painting, balloon artistry, bounce houses, giveaways, table vendors, a DJ, and food available for purchase will also be offered during the festival on Sept. 17, with fireworks to follow at about 8:30 p.m.

All proceeds from the Touch a Truck will benefit The Barkann Family Healing Hearts Foundation. NBC Sports Philadelphia host Michael Barkan, who began the foundation in 2013, is set to make a special appearance at the Touch a Truck event.

He will also choose the raffle ticket winner for a pair of Eagles-Cowboys tickets.

The Falls Township Family Festival weekend will take place at Falls Township Community Park, 9050 Mill Creek Road in Levittown.
