Fire Battled At Bucks Co. Waste Management Site: Officials

A Tuesday night blaze at a waste management facility in Morrisville took nearly two hours for firefighters to take down, officials said.

FALLS TOWNSHIP, PA - A Tuesday night blaze at a waste management facility in Morrisville took nearly two hours for firefighters to take down, officials said.

At around 10:28 p.m., the Falls Township Fire Company No. 1 responded to a report of a building fire at 1201 New Ford Mill Road, the site of the Falls Material Recovery Facility.

Heavy smoke was reported from the waste management site, “showing … an active fire in the building,” the fire department said. Crews were in service for roughly two hours.

The fire department thanked mutual aid units that assisted at the scene, including Levittown Fire Company #1, Fairless Hills Fire Department - Station 31, Edgely Fire Company (Ten House), Morrisville Fire Company and the Falls Township Fire Marshal.
