Touch a Truck will roar into the park Saturday at 9 a.m.

Featuring dozens of large trucks, excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles, and various types of heavy machinery, the township’s annual event kicks off with a sensory-friendly quiet hour until 10 a.m.

Truck operators will refrain from flashing their lights or blowing their air horns during this time.

Touch a Truck continues until 1 p.m. and includes balloon artistry, bounce houses, a photo
booth, as well as a scavenger hunt run by The Goofy Gators, one of this year’s nonprofit
benefactors.

Food and drink will be available to purchase from the concession stand. Kona Ice and Breakfast, Burgers and More will also be selling food and drink during Touch a Truck.

Spearheaded by Falls Township Supervisor Jeff Boraski, Touch a Truck offers a unique opportunity for children to learn about how various vehicles serve as first response, construction, electrical, farming, manufacturing, and more.

Since the fundraising event began in 2017, sponsors have contributed $144,220 which Falls Township donated to various charities.

In addition to The Goofy Gators, this year’s event benefits Pennsbury’s PTO organizations.

Boraski, who is finishing his last year as a Falls Township supervisor, said the event’s success has been beyond what he anticipated.

“We never really intended it to raise the funds we’ve raised,” he said, noting that the first year
netted about $1,000 for charity. “I’m proud that we did that. The things like this that are good
are the things that I’m going to miss.”

Inclusion has remained integral. Organizers have ensured sensory-friendly activities and a
variety of community-oriented festivities each year.

“There’s stuff for everybody,” Boraski said. “Even big kids like me.”

Touch a Truck will feature fire and emergency service vehicles, a school bus, and Falls Township
mowers and trucks. KPK Development Co. is the presenting sponsor.

Event sponsors who will be bringing trucks include: Waste Management, J.G. Crozier Contractors, Inc., IBEW Local 269, Speedway Towing and Repair, LLC, Shades of Green, Inc., Premium Excavating, LLC, Armour & Sons Electric, Inc., Grace Construction Management Co., Family Fuel Bucks County, Carr & Duff, Inc., Fred Beans Ford of Doylestown, Britton Industries, Inc., S.K.D.
