LEVITTOWN, PA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Shelle Shive, who nominated her son's fiancee, Amanda Sandridge, a respiratory therapist at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton.

Amanda is a respiratory therapist at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton, N.J.

<b>Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?</b>
Amanda has an amazing work ethic ... she has been on the front lines of the COVID-19 issues since day 1. She is with the very sick every day, intubating, resuscitating and being there for all the patient's respiratory needs.

<b>What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?: </b>
Amanda is very dedicated to her work and is studying to eventually be a nurse practitioner.
