LEVITTOWN, PA —Frigid temperatures that are expected to create icy conditions well into the morning commute have prompted a delayed opening for Bristol Township students on Wednesday, the district said.

Plunging temperatures overnight are expected to make surfaces very slick Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

"Untreated water and slush will almost certainly become rock-hard by morning as temps drop well into the teens across most of the area tonight," the NWS Mount Holly office said Tuesday evening. "In addition, winds will make it feel 10-15 degrees colder! Bundle up!"
