Levittown Man Shared Child Porn Online: U.S. Attorney

The 29-year-old man from Croydon is "a depraved abuser of children" who described molesting them "in explicit detail," prosecutors say.

CROYDON, PA — A man from the Levittown area is "a depraved abuser of children" who bragged online about molesting kids as well as sharing images of child pornography, prosecutors say.

Patrick Shaknitz, 29, of Croydon, was arrested and charged with distribution and attempted distribution of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney's office in Philadelphia announced Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Shaknitz shared images and videos of child pornography to others, including undercover federal agents, online.

U.S. Attorney William McSwain's office said that, beginning in November, undercover agents exchanged messages with a Web user identified as "intoeverything1991," who shared child-porn images and videos. One video, they say, depicted a woman in a dark blue face mask molesting a minor child.

During online chats with agents, that person "described in explicit detail" how he abused other children, prosecutors said. Subpoenas were issued for accounts owned by "intoeverything1991," revealing an internet address and other identifying information belonging to Shaknitz, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

"As alleged in the complaint, Shaknitz is a depraved abuser of children who multiplied the impact of that abuse by sharing images of it over the Internet," McSwain said in a news release. "These children will have to deal with the impact of this abuse for the rest of their lives. We can never make them fully whole again, but we can bring them some measure of justice by investigating and prosecuting the people responsible for stealing their innocence."

If convicted, Shaknitz faces a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a lifetime of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. The case is being investigated by the FBI.
